It’s great to learn… ’cause knowledge is power!
Happy Hump Day, loves!
And more importantly….
I was going to write about last week’s Transforming Healthcare Conference, but I’m going to wait until pictures from the day are put up on the event webpage. I tried to take pictures, but Shake n Bake (what my sister calls me bc of the steroid tremors) couldn’t snap a clear photo. Womp womp.
Before I get into Lupus Awareness Month festivities, I want to
brag tell you about some cool things coming my way.
Apparently, I’m a “trusted voice in the lupus community,” and I’ve been invited to the invitation-only Lupus Summit hosted by Glaxo-Smith Kline. The summit is next week, and there will be other lupus warriors in attendance. I’m excited, I’ve connected with many who have SLE through blog-world, but never in person. There will be discussions on global SLE survey findings, and we will hear what’s new in research & development for SLE at GSK. I’m flattered that I was invited, and I’m stoked to report back to you guys!
Disclaimer- I will be reimbursed for travel expenses, but all opinions and dirty jokes on the summit are my own.
The MM&M Transforming Healthcare Conference was less than a week ago, and I’ve already been approached for a few speaking engagements and opportunities. BOOM! Will go into further details as I get them. (Thank you Shauna and Marc!!!!)
Alright, let’s get into lupus talk.
