The Fay Farm Serenity CBD Lotion

*Disclaimer- This is a sponsored post. I have been given this product as part of a review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions remain my own and I was in no way influenced by this company. *

When you live with a chronic illness that causes pain, it changes you. Over time, you learn to adapt, but ask anyone who suffers from chronic pain (whether from illness or injury) and they will tell you they are not the person they used to be. I wouldn’t say Im USED to the pain, but I’ve come to the point where I live with it; it’s just as a part of my every day life as brushing my teeth is. I’ve tried multiple remedies over the years- physical therapy, pain medication, hot tubs, cold showers, ice packs, heating pads, anti-depressants, anti-epileptics, yoga, cutting out gluten from my diet (which last for all of 4 minutes…)  you name it, I’ve probably tried it. When I had my double mastectomy, the pain was excruciating, nothing helped and I resorted to herbal remedies for the pain, if you catch my drift. It was the only thing that truly helped.

When I was given the opportunity to try and review The Fay Farm Serenity CBD Lotion, I figured it wouldn’t do miracles, but hey, it couldn’t hurt either.

There was nothing exceptional about the packaging, just your typical long, thin bottle. However, I always appreciate when lotion has a pump as it’s much easier on these achy joints of mine to dispense the product. The font was easy to read, and the ingredients are listed on the gold label. The Serenity Lotion contains organic ingredients including hemp oil, grape seed oil, jojoba oil, argan oil, 200mg CBD oil and green tea. It has a pleasant scent, although I can’t put my finger on what exactly it is. I tend to be quite sensitive to different smells, and I found this to be calming and not too powerful. The lotion itself is a thick cream, and felt great on my skin. It absorbed well, and didn’t leave me feeling overly greasy. I would apply the lotion to my problematic joints (knees, hands, elbows, hips and neck) as part of my nighttime routine, and I found that the scent had a calming effect.

Did it work miracles? No, but again, I didn’t expect it to. However, I did feel some relief of tension and joint stiffness, so for me, that’s makes it a winning product. On nights that I forgot to apply the lotion, I tended to have trouble falling asleep. Once I realized I didn’t use the lotion, I would apply, and relax in bed.

Once this bottle runs out (it’s 8 oz), I plan on purchasing and trying a few other of the Fay Farm CBD products.

Two very enthusiastic thumbs up from yours truly!

Love you all <3
