DxTerity LIFT Study- Part Deux
Hi my Loves,
Over the last few weeks since the previous blog went live, I’ve seen so many social media posts of fellow Lupus sufferers enroll in DxTerity’s LIFT Study. It’s only going to be beneficial for those of us with lupus that we try to get as much data marking our disease activity as we can, and we can’t demand change yet not actually do our part.
If you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about and haven’t seen any of my posts, let me explain. Dxterity, a company developing genomic tests to better manage autoimmune diseases, is recruiting people with lupus for a unique research study on lupus.
Got lupus? If you’ve been diagnosed with lupus, you can join lupus patients nationwide who are contributing to this groundbreaking research to help researchers develop an at-home blood test people living with lupus can use to monitor their disease activity.
The kit arrived quite quickly to my apartment, and the collection process was simple. You don’t have to be a nurse, the kit came with easy to interpret instructions, complete with pictures!
Participating in the study is easy and can be done from the convenience of your own home. You don’t have to visit a clinic at all- seriously, no waiting room! Answer a few health surveys online and collect a few drops of blood with a simple, finger-stick collection kit. Drop the kit in the mail, and you’re done!
I should be receiving the box for kit #2 in a few days, and I will repeat the process. Easy peasy, lemon squeasy. For more information and to see if you are eligible, check out The LIFT Study.
