Double Mastectomy. 4 years ago I was in the OR getting my lovely lady lumps removed so they would stop trying to kill me. Hard to believe how much in my life has changed since that day, some perhaps due to this very surgery. The recovery was physically painful and a total mind fuck, yet somehow I managed to come out stronger than ever. And with a fabulous set that will never sag to my belly button. 3 months agoby marlajanWhat were you doing 31 years ago today? Me, no big deal, just having open-heart surgery number three. I see that picture with the tubes coming out of me, wire holding my sternum closed, a machine breathing for me, and it’s a reminder how far I’ve come in these 31 years. Im not the same shy, scared, timid girl I once was.
